Whitmore Retreat

Each year around the begining of May a number of people from the Whitmore congregation travel to nearby Lake McSwain for our annual retreat. The retreat takes place over a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It is a chance for us to get away from our hectic lives and enjoy camping with each other.

          

What do we do at the retreat? Some go fishing, some visit or play games with others, some walk, others just sit around and relax. There is a couple of play grounds for the children, so a trip to the play ground pulling a wagon full of kids is a daily activity. And on Friday night we have a potluck together, followed by singing songs and a lesson from a guest speaker.
